February 2007 Editor-in-Chief's Message

Myles B. Amend

Dear Colleagues,

It’s my pleasure to have taken on the role of Vice President for Communications for the Greater New York Chapter of AFP and with it the title of Editor-in-Chief of our Chapter eNewsletter. I hope that over the next few months we can make the Fundraising News eNewsletter an even more important and useful part of your monthly professional reading.

With that in mind, I thought I might ask a few questions and invite you to send me your thoughts and suggestions. The Chapter’s eNewsletter is emailed to members and posted to our website on a monthly basis.

  • Is it a regular part of your professional reading?
  • Do you find the articles useful and thought-provoking?
  • Are the events calendar and job listings useful tools?
  • What suggestions—for content, frequency, delivery—do you have
    for the committee?

We want to make the eNewsletter a valuable source of news and information for our members and I hope that you’ll share your ideas with us. Please send your comments, ideas, suggestions—even your critiques—to membership@nycafp.org. I look forward to hearing from you.

This message is part of this month’s newsletter, which is available online. Please click here to read Fundraising News.
